Welcome to my page and thank you for your interest!
So here’s a little about me and my journey that got me to this very moment. I’ve been in the health and wellness industry since 2001. I’ve held a variety of different positions throughout the years (aerobics instructor, personal trainer, professor, etc) and have helped 1000’s of people improve their health and wellbeing through fitness, nutrition and self care.
Over the years my work has transformed into a mix of personal trainer, health and lifestyle coach. My main goal is to help clients put all the pieces of the lifestyle pie together to achieve balance in their everyday lives. I’ve worked with clients around the world, even living in their homes, for weeks to months, to get their lives in order by establishing healthier habits and laying the foundation for a successful transformation.
I’ve enjoyed working with local and international companies, such as Zumba, Kellogg’s, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Mira Quien Baila, and University of Miami, and have been interviewed by local TV stations on health and wellness topics. I’ve also traveled all over the country, and even as far as Thailand, to study and learn from some of the best in the industry. As fun and rewarding as all of that is, I knew the universe had something far greater in store for me.
Since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of becoming a mother. I decided I was getting to the ‘now or never’ part of my life, and decided to dive down the wormhole that is fertility and hormones. When I first started IVF, I thought it would take a couple months and I would have a baby within a year. Little did I know the rollercoaster IVF is and how many curve balls would be thrown at me!
In hopes of improving my chances, I started reading all the books, devouring research studies and fully immersing myself in the world of IVF, fertility and hormone literature. I’ve taken courses and consulted with doctors, nurses and other coaches. Then I came to the realization that I shouldn’t have had to do this all on my own. I wish there was a coach that could have guided me from day one and helped me along the way. That’s when I figured out why I was in this exact spot at this point in my life. I needed to become the coach I wish I had when I first started this journey.
My main focus as a coach, and absolute passion, is to help women improve their fertility and guide them along the journey that is IVF. I want to share everything I’ve learned with other women who are struggling with fertility. If this sounds like you, I want you to know you are not alone and there is no reason to feel any shame or like a failure. I’ve been there hun, you are not at fault for any of this!
I want to show women that they have more control over this journey than they think, that it's not all injections, supplements and blood work. There is so much working against us in our daily environment that we are not aware of and we are innocently living our lives surrounded by hormone disruptors, stress and toxins.
Helping women maximize their fertility has become my new passion, and I want to help women learn about hormones, maintain a healthy body before, through and after pregnancy, and achieve their desire to become a mother. It's not an easy journey, but it’ll be well worth it when you hold that miracle in your arms!
Joanna Torrens – BS (Exercise Physiology), IIN Health Coach (Institute of Integrative Nutrition), Certified Personal Trainer - NESTA, Licensed Massage Therapist (MA45842) and Public SpeakerAnd my mission is to help women with chronic pain make lasting lifestyle habits that have you looking and feeling good!
For me it’s not about a number on the scale or a dress size that matters most - it’s how you FEEL!
That’s why my approach is different from other trainers and coaches out there. I believe in focusing on small changes every day instead of stressing out with overhauling our entire life all in one shot! I’m willing to bet that you’ve tried that before right and you’re not any farther ahead right?
I’m not saying that strategy doesn’t work, but what I see with my clients is that motivation will probably only last about 3-4 days and then you’re restarting again the next Monday. Not only does this stress you out even more, it also has you on an emotional rollercoaster.
What if you had DAILY support and accountability from someone who gets balancing chronic pain management with creating a healthy lifestyle? Someone who dedicates her life to making fitness FUN and has helped hundreds of women feel confident in their own bodies?
Now I know not everyone can hire a personal trainer so that’s why I created…
